Nell’s Story
Nell is inspired by the beloved Labrador Retriever—the most popular dog breed in North America. Known for their loyalty, intelligence, and gentle nature, Labs are trusted service animals, family pets, and hardworking heroes in search and rescue.
Nell is named after the first documented Lab: a dog photographed in 1857 belonging to the Earl of Home.
Fun Fact: Labradors always have solid-colored coats in black, yellow, or chocolate.
Kodi’s Story
Kodi is named after the legendary Kodiak Bear of Alaska—the largest species of grizzly bear on Earth. These powerful animals can weigh over 1,600 pounds, yet they are deeply nurturing and protective in the wild.
Sadly, grizzly bears are increasingly endangered due to climate change and human impact. Kodi represents not only strength and courage, but a reminder of our responsibility to love and protect—both our planet and each other.
